This painting is based on the book Black girl White Skin" by Natalie Devora.

I used gold leaf paint as a base for this painting. The gold showing through her skin is symbolic of her beauty and self worth shining through despite her hard ships being an albino african woman. Because of the reflective qualities of the painting caused by the gold, it looks different at certain angles and different lightings. The most accurate picture is the third photo, which is a combination of both the first and second photo.
